The Survivor Ride Home

GREAT ROUTES, SAME CHALLENGE!!
The "Survivor Ride" is a bicycle ride for cycling enthusiasts of all age and abilities. My name is Daniel Bates and I started this ride in 2006. This ride benefits the Children's Miracle Network of which I am a "miracle child". Cycling played a major role in my rehabilitation after I under went femur reconstruction in October of 2005. It has since became a passion of not only mine but also my family.
The 5-mile route will be flat, family friendly on very good paved roads, pleasant ride out around the new sports complex. The 16 mile will get just a taste of the hills ahead that the longer distances will face. The 25 and 50 milers can expect another route of beautiful country side with a combinations of flat, hills and curves....a great ride full of fun and challenge.
All proceeds from this event goes directly to the Children's Miracle Network and stays in the state of Oklahoma. Each year, thousands of children battling cancer, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, infectious disease, trauma, child abuse and neglect are treated at Children's Hospital at the OU Medical Center, where pediatric physicians and researchers are support by CMN. Proceeds help support research in pediatric medicine, to recruit the top physician-scientists to care for Oklahomas' critically ill children and to train future pediatricians.
